Write for Us

We commission from practitioners, not from writers covering practitioners. If you have run the thing, we want the account of running it.

What we're looking for

  • The Capital Files Measurement and proof — what actually moved the number.
  • The Practice Room Methodology explainers, taught openly, step by step.
  • Founders on the Record Long-form interviews with the people doing the building.
  • The Contributor Desk Outside voices writing on adjacent territory.
  • Field Dispatches Market-specific and event-linked reporting.

Voice and length

Plain, specific, first-person where it helps. 1,200–2,500 words for most pieces; interviews run longer. No subheads for their own sake, no bullet-point filler.

What won't run

  • — Thought leadership with no first-hand evidence behind it
  • — Pieces that resolve into the author's service offering
  • — Trend round-ups assembled from other people's reporting
  • — Anything where the numbers cannot be described, even anonymised

How review works

Every piece goes draft → read-through → live, with a named reviewer. Expect at least one substantive round of notes. This is what keeps a multi-author site coherent, and it is not optional.
